The Thattu Kazhi Set is a traditional Nattuvangam rhythm instrument used in Bharatanatyam performances and training. Crafted from high-quality Sheesham wood, this set is designed to produce rich, authentic rhythmic sounds that enhance both practice sessions and stage performances.

This instrument set consists of two wooden components:

  • Thattu Kazhi (wooden sticks) – produces a deep, resonant sound

  • Thattu Manai / Kattai (wooden block) – produces a higher-pitched tone

When played together, they create precise rhythmic patterns essential for Nattuvangam, traditionally played by the Nattuvanar to accompany Bharatanatyam dancers.

Durable and well-balanced, this set is ideal for students and teachers, and is built to withstand regular use during classes, rehearsals, and performances.

Bring authenticity, clarity, and tradition to your Bharatanatyam rhythm practice with this classic wooden Thattu Kazhi set.
